Pickup basketball at it's finest
Harbord basketball group meet most Thursday nights at Harbord CI for an intense two and a half hours of pickup basketball. We run from 7:00pm to 9:30pm with games not usually starting until about 7:30pm when enough people have shown up.
Our aim is to provide a fun and safe environment in which to enjoy playing a sport that we love. Even though the conditioning of most participants isn't necessarily top notch, the games can be competitive so we try to maintain a minimum level of skill. Anyone who has played at a high school basketball level is definitely able enough.
We play roughly 40 nights a season at a cost of $100 for the full season or $10 / night for dropping in. This is invite only so that we can keep the numbers at a level where we can maximize playing time and not have too many people sitting around waiting to play as we use the full high school court for our games and only have 1 game going at a time.
